Massive Flood Wrecks Havoc On German Town Of Wuppertal

This is the moment a shopping mall in the German city of Wuppertal flooded. German media quoted a spokesman for the German Weather Service as saying: “The whole city is under water.”

Heavy rain has triggered flooding in Germany, according to local reports. Cars drove through several inches of water. Video filmed yesterday evening (May 29) from an upper floor looking down shows the lower area of shopping centre flooded and people running away.

A shopping mall was flooded as well. A gas station roof reportedly collapsed and rail service was suspended. There are also reports of hail in the area. According to a speaker of the German Weather Service, over a short period of time, more than 40 liters of rain per square meter fell on Wuppertal.
