Michele Pirro Survives Horrific 350km/h Crash During Italian MotoGP Practice Run

Ducati wildcard Michele Pirro has been taken to hospital after suffering a violent crash in Friday’s second MotoGP practice session at Mugello.

The Italian was second in the afternoon practice session, riding at 350km/h when his bike’s rear tire lifted off the ground, throwing him off the bike and high up into the air.

As he braked into Turn 1 at the end of the 1.1km main straight, the Ducati’s rear tire lifted off the ground before Pirro was thrown off the bike and high up into the air.

The 32-year-old lost consciousness upon impact with the ground and tumbled into the gravel, where he was attended to by medical staff.

His limp body rolled and bounced several times on the ground before coming to a stop.

He Survives The Crash

He was immediately attended to by medical staff and taken to the Mugello circuit’s medical center before being transported by helicopter to the hospital.
