Have you ever sat in a horrible restaurant and started to slowly wonder what’s going on behind closed doors? Are there animals anywhere, is everybody washing their hands, are the ingredients being used in date – can they even cook?
You might be thinking I’ve been to some absolute dives and you’d probably be right.
But there’s one thing wondering what’s going on in the kitchen and then there’s another when you see it for yourself. Like this restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, western Malaysia, where staff have been washing plates in a dirty puddle.
Yup, a dirty puddle, the ones you may see a stray dog drink from or thousands of cars drive through. Hygiene at it’s best.
This footage shows staff at the side of the road near the popular restaurant in the Bangsar suburb of the city. The restaurant has been identified as ‘Raj’s Banana Leaf’.
