This stunt right here involves a fair amount of creativity, a $7 McDonald’s thrift shop shirt and a fucking massive poster. But it’s pretty damn funny – they pulled it off in brilliant fashion and it seems the fast-food restaurant chain love it too…
When these two friends realised that there were no Asian people in the posters dotted around their local Maccies in Pearland, Texas, they decided to take matters into their own hands.
Jehv Maravilla, a 21-year-old University of Houston student, and his pal Christian Toledo, 25, are both Filipino-Americans.
The pair wanted Asians to be represented so when they saw a blank wall, they knew immediately that’s where their work of art would hang.
They held a photo shoot using a timer to take a picture of the two of them eating McDonald’s, edited the photograph and ordered it online from the Office Depot site for a measly $84.99 (£66).
The poster arrived a week later and Christian explained that they then needed to look the part when putting it up so they bought a $7 (£5) McDonald’s shirt from a thrift shop, and Jevh became ‘Regional Interior Coordinator’.
The pals put up the poster on 13 July – 52 days late, it seemed no one had noticed it hanging on the wall as it was still up there.
