Comparing A Military Flamethrower To Elon Musk’s ‘Not A Flamethrower’

The Boring Company’s ‘Not A Flamethrower’ says right in the name that it’s not actually flamethrower. But still, how *does* it stack up to a weapons-grade flamethrower?

In his latest escapade, the tech billionaire Elon Musk bagged himself a casual $10million (£7.6m) from selling out of all his 20,000 ‘flamethrowers’ that apparently aren’t actually flamethrowers.

Now two fearless looking guys from DriveTanks.com have put his (not a) flamethrower to the test by comparing the $500 (£380) piece of equipment to the real deal.

They went out to the range armed with the three weapons with their target being a burn pile - which is essentially just a pile of trees and shit.

It’s pretty fucking mental. Definitely not one to try at home.

Todd, who works at DriveTanks explains they will be doing a comparison with M9 Vietnam Era Flamethrower (the serious one), the XM42 (sounds serious but has a shark sticker of some description on the side of it which makes it look all the more innocent) and Elon Musk’s (not a) Flamethrower.
