Girls punch, kick and pull each other’s hair in vicious 3am street brawl

Shocking footage shows eight teenage young women fighting in the street in Derby city centre at the weekend. The violent scrap was filmed by an onlooker outside a popular city centre takeaway as shocked revellers looked on.

Despite the viciousness of the clash, there were no officers called to the scene and no one made any attempt to break it up. The footage shows the group of youngsters appearing to kick, punch and pull each other’s hair in Cheapside, Derby, in the early hours of Sunday morning. A witness, who asked to remain anonymous, captured the scrap on his phone after enjoying a night out with friends.

The 19-year-old, from Derby, said he was waiting for a taxi with his friends at around 3am when the girls started fighting in the middle of the road. He said: ‘I don’t know how it happened really. I was just stood there with my mates waiting for a taxi and then suddenly the girls started fighting in the road, pulling each others’ hair and punching each other.

‘Everyone was just watching and was shocked but no one really stopped it. It just kind of petered out and they walked off.’ He posted his video of the brawl to his Twitter account, which has since garnered almost 1,000 likes. Derbyshire police said no officers attended the incident.
