Teenager Survives 130ft Drop From Fairground Ride

A teenager who plummeted almost 130ft from a ride at a theme park ride managed to survive after landing on the canvas of a fairground stall nearby.



Eighteen-year-old Andres Perez was on a ride called Turbo Force while at a fairground in Tlaxcala in Mexico. He was on the ride, which swings around 360 degrees, when he somehow fell out and dropped 131ft (40 metres), but was miraculously saved by the canvas of a nearby stall.

In the footage, the teen can be seen lying motionless on the roof as shocked onlookers try to check if he is OK. The Red Cross and civil protection were called to the scene and the man was taken to a nearby hospital.

The man in charge of organzsing the fairground, reportedly visited the man in hospital to see if how he was doing. He told local media: “Andres is out of danger and is receiving the full support of the organisation. We will be following his progress and will pay the costs of the hospital.”


The teen was saved after landing on a canvas canopy over a nearby stall.


He went on to say that safety measures were being ‘reinforced’ at the park and said that an investigation had been launched.
